Gift Of Giving

Last week I attended a wonderful fundraising dinner for the dynamic Joanna Giles. Joanna does nothing by halves and her bubbly personality shines through in everything she organises. Joanna donates the majority of her time fundraising to help children in Nepal (to read more about Joanna visit http://www.spiritedwomensnetwork.com.au/ and click on the feature story). Never one to shy away, a friend and I decided to go all out for the 'Alice in Wonderland" style mad hatters ball. Here we are as 'Tweedle Boob and Tweedle Bum". 100% of the money raised is used for operations, solar panels etc. It seems ridiculous that with dinner, a little champagne, and a whole lot of fun, we can help make someone elses lives better. It is at times like these that I am thankful that I live where I do and can give when I can.
Enjoy the feastive season and all those that you love.

Blogging Blunders

Well this is my first forey into the world of blogging. Since starting my web site I have been on a rather step and slippery learning curve of techno jargen and skills. So while reading any of my blogs please excuse the blunders as I stretch my baby wings and journey into the new territory of cyber space. It is with excitement and trepidation that I launch myself into the unknown and kinda wish that my genetically born techno kids were here with me. It surely is a sign of the times that my 7 year old step son can navigate the computer challenges better than I. However I have never been one to slink away from a challenge and I am all for learning new skills. I look forward to conquering the slope and seeing the view from the top.
